Nancy Chorpenning – Founder and Managing Director of C-Suite Advisors

Nancy Chorpenning [core-PENN-ing] is the Founder and Managing Director of Atlanta-based C-Suite Advisors, a business advisory practice supporting organizations in their quest to grow. She is Founder and Executive Director of the CEO School for Women, a year long business program starting next month, and is working on a book, “Business Whispers”.

From strategic discovery to organization structure and operations, Nancy’s work is informed by her +20-year tenure as an executive in Management, Professional Information and Education with Fortune 100 companies (e.g., Time Warner’s Little, Brown & Company Publishers) as well as high profile start-ups (WebMD), combined with a superb graduate Marketing education from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Included in Who’s Who Among American Women and Who’s Who in America, Nancy is active in local, regional and National business and community organizations. After serving on the Small Business Council and developing a CEO Roundtable program for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Nancy served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners – Atlanta (NAWBO Atlanta) for 6 years, including serving as President of the Atlanta Chapter. She was appointed to the NAWBO Presidents Assembly Steering Committee (PASC) in 2012, inaugurating a Leadership Boot camp for NAWBO, and is responsible for 18 Southern Tier NAWBO Chapters. Nancy will become PASC Chair in 2014. In 2013, she was elected to the Board of Directors for the Washington, DC-based National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) where she serves on the Executive Committee as Chair for Governance.

Shortly after her youngest daughter was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Cynthia launched “Reaching for the Stars. A Foundation of Hope for Children with Cerebral Palsy” in 2005 www.reachingforthestars.org – the first parent-led nonprofit foundation for children with cerebral palsy and their families focused on the prevention, treatment and cure of cerebral palsy, the most common motor disability in children impacting over 17,000,000 people globally. “Reaching for the Stars” has grown into the largest pediatric cerebral palsy foundation in the world with presence in the U.S., Canada, Asia and Australia.

In the past 25 years Cynthia Frisina has led the creation of award winning national advertising campaigns, built number one brands for Fortune 500 companies, testified before Congress, launched two successful marketing companies, created a global nonprofit foundation, rode elephants in the jungles of Thailand, sea kayaked off the coast of New Zealand, and is raising two wonderful teenage daughters. Cynthia is a global marketer, sought after speaker and senior level business leader consistently recognized for excellence in brand building and creating marketing success.

Cynthia is in the process of launching her newest venture in the spring of 2014, Health Marketing Works, a social media marketing practice focusing on healthcare communication. Cynthia also is active in a variety of other philanthropic and educational organizations. She is on the Executive Board of Blaze Sports America serving Georgia athletes with physical disabilities.

Trained as a chemical engineer, Helene spent 12 years with Amoco and BP Corporation in plastics process design, product development, marketing, strategic planning and company mergers and acquisitions.
